What I’m Reading

02 JAN 16:

Currently, not much… but, I have received several books for Christmas which is always wonderful. Keep your eyes peeled here when I finally crack their spines.

30 NOV 15:

A year later, I’m reading self-help books and daily affirmational-style texts. A lot of Facebook, Twitter and the occasional late notices I receive in the mail from my creditors.

23 OCT 14:

If I Stay by Gayle Foreman. For some reason I just had to read this book before I saw the movie. It’s about a girl who is in critical condition, yet someone how she is able to witness what is going on around her and follow people around the hospital. It’s very similar to Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo, but is a drama, as opposed to a romantic comedy. Haven’t seen the movie just yet, but enjoyed the book so much that I ordered the sequel: Where She Went.

27 AUG 14:

Lately, it’s really just been Tweets and Facebook posts. Wow. That’s a reality check right there – I NEED TO PICK UP A BOOK.

13 JUN 14:

The Last Laugh: The World of Stand-up Comics by Phil Berger is one of the most recent books I have purchased and started reading at the suggestion of a comedian friend, as I have recently started trying my had at comedy. The book offers incredible incite into the World of comedy from behind the scenes and fuels my fire for my newest hobby. Also – Instructables, as I am trying to learn to make cardboard furniture for funsies.

25 AUG 13:

Sadly, I haven’t been keeping up with reading anything other than Tweets and Facebook stati. However, I have far too many books, both real and virtual to be left wanting. Soon, I shall pick up a spine and have at it.

08 FEB 13:

In December, I finished Christopher Reeve’s second book “Nothing is Impossible.” I really needed the uplifting words he shared and the strength that he is STILL able to give out through his words. Very inspiring and very relatable; who’d have ever thought they could relate with Superman?

Just the other day I finished Book Five of A Song of Ice and Fire, A Dance with Dragons, by George R.R. Martin. I just love the EPIC fantasy, magic, and intrigue. I’m hooked and have been since I watched the first episode of the the now famous Game of Thrones television show on HBO, which comes back on 3.31.13!!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Song_of_Ice_and_Fire

I’m also perusing several other books and going between, Fibromyalgia for Dummies by Roland Staud, M.D., Social Media Marketing All-In-One for Dummies by Jan Zimmerman and Deborah Ng, The Stem Cell Hope by Alice Park (largely due to the interest I gained from Christopher Reeve’s insights on Stem Cell Research), and finally Are You the One For Me by Barbara De Angelis, Ph.D.
